diy - tank color 'azure ombre'

vibrant blue tank with only a dollars worth of acrylic paint
->☽✧-Δ-✧☾<-

The cheapest way to have a vibrantly colored tank that shows up the colors of the fish, is with acrylic paint with an ombre twist. Starring my goldies, Bobbi, Hendrix and Neeko. Just excuse bobbi here – I believe she was about to drop a tonne of eggs at that time – this is what a pregga’s goldy looks like (golfball round) It’s truly amazing how they grow, Hendrix with the moehawke had only haf the tail lenth he has now. These shots were taken around 5 months ago & Neeko still had a black moe then :D From the Chapter ‘Aquaria’ (Link)
✧☾ What I Used ☽✧
Tank here is 2 ft x 3 ft in size
Foam sheet 2 ft x 3 ft in size
Black electrical tape
Vibrant and pale blue tubes of acrylic paint
Foam roller and tray
Hairdryer if impatient
✧☾ Directions ☽✧ DO NOT PAINT INSIDE THE TANK
... Gently lay tank on its side
... Pour some vibrant blue into a roller pallet
... With foam roller, paint the bottom side outside surface
... Repeat with tanks back wall outside surface
... Add a stripe of the lighter blue
... Work in with foam roller for ombre effect
... Allow to dry (can use hairdryer to speed up if impatient)
... Place foam matt on the tank stand
... Place tank painted base down on matt
... I used black electrical tape to cover bottom edges of tank to hide foam
... Set the rest of the tank up
... Thank-you, don’t forget to follow and Share.
